The Clinical Dietitian plans, directs, and provides medical nutrition therapy to patients in designated areas/programs. Is responsible for nutrition screenings, assessments, prescription of nutrition orders, monitoring of patients’ care, and documentation of care plan. Provides education to patients, students, community, and health care staff. Acts as a clinical preceptor to dietetic interns. Temporary full time position at the University of Vermont Medical Center in beautiful Burlington, Vermont. Experience in providing MNT to acute inpatients whose needs include oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition, and in recommending and educating on oral therapeutic diets for patients and their families with diverse cultural backgrounds. There will be opportunities to discuss permanent employment within the Nutrition Services department at the end of this assignment.
