Position Description
The Clinical Dietitian plans, directs, and provides medical nutrition therapy to patients in designated areas/programs. Is responsible for nutrition screenings, assessments, prescription of nutrition orders, monitoring of patients’ care, and documentation of care plan. Provides education to patients, students, community, and health care staff. Acts as a clinical preceptor to dietetic interns. Participates in department and hospital-wide activities on quality improvement, professional development
Minimum Qualifications
Temporary full time position at the University of Vermont Medical Center in beautiful Burlington, Vermont. Experience in providing MNT to acute inpatients whose needs include oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition, and in recommending and educating on oral therapeutic diets for patients and their families with diverse cultural backgrounds. There will be opportunities to discuss permanent employment within the Nutrition Services department at the end of this assignment.

A unique clinical role as team member of the Comprehensive Pain Program to work in a supportive and creative professional environment, and also provide support in Primary Care. Desired experiences:
Integrative medicine – case review with integrative healthcare team.
Integrative nutrition – NFPE, labs, therapeutic elimination diets, dietary supplements, MNT for chronic pain
Individual and group MNT
In-person and telehealth counseling and education
Culinary medicine with cooking demonstration
